The term "malaiwah" comes straight from the imagination of a brilliant (yes, yes!) kid who wanted to be unique when it came to choose a nickname (alias) for computer games... Since that time, the kid has grown up and decided to keep this special name to designate what he was doing. To tell the truth, it doesn't mean anything as such and the origin remains quite nebulous to this day.
The symbol used as a logo has, originally, two meanings:
- The design first represents a chip connected to various components, like a processor on a computer motherboard.
- The design also represents a man who has several arms and hands to be able to do everything.
This is the vocation of MALAIWAH.COM, to be a "generalist-informatician", specialized in free software.
